We were indeed gracious to Moses and Aaron, 114 and saved them and their people from great distress. 115 We succoured them, and they gained the upper hand (against their enemies). 116 And We bestowed the clear Book to both of them. 117 And We guided them both on the right way. 118 and left them thus to be remembered among later generations: 119 "Peace be upon Moses and Aaron!" 120 Verily We! thus We recompense the well-doers. 121 For they were two of our believing Servants. 122 Elijah too was one of the messengers. 123 Recall what time he said unto his people: fear ye not? 124 Do you call on Baal, and abandon the Best of creators? 125 God, your Lord, and the Lord of your fathers, the ancients?' 126 In response they denied him, so they will surely be brought forth as captives. 127 Except the chosen slaves of Allah. 128 And We let it (the beautiful praise) remain upon him in the latter (generations), 129 Peace be on Ilyas. 130 Verily, thus do We reward the doers of good 131 He is truly among Our faithful devotees. 132 Lot, too, was among the Messengers. 133 [and so,] when [We decreed the doom of his sinful town,] We saved him and his household, 134 except for an old woman who remained behind. 135 Then We destroyed the rest [i.e. the towns of Sodom at the place of the Dead Sea (now) in Palestine].
