Al-Dukhaan 3 of 3
Indeed the tree of Zaqqum, – 43 shall be the food of the sinful. 44 It will be like molted brass which will boil in the bellies 45 as the boiling of the hot water. 46 'Seize him and drag him into the center of Hell. 47 Then pour upon his head the torment of boiling water. 48 [It will be said], "Taste! Indeed, you are the honored, the noble! 49 "Truly this is what ye used to doubt!" 50 Verily! The Muttaqun (pious - see V. 2:2), will be in place of Security (Paradise). 51 Among Gardens and Springs; 52 Dressed in fine silk and in rich brocade, they will face each other; 53 Just like that. We shall pair them with companions with large black eyes. 54 While resting in security, they shall call for all kinds of fruit. 55 They shall not taste death except the death in this world. And Allah will save them from the chastisement of Hell 56 By the munificence of your Lord; this is the great success. 57 Therefore We have made this (Qur'an) easy in your tongue. They may haply take a warning. 58 So wait thou and watch; for they (too) are waiting. 59

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
