And indeed, even before [the return of Moses] had Aaron said unto them: "O my people! You are but being tempted to evil by this [idol] - for, behold, your [only] Sustainer is the Most Gracious! Follow me, then, and obey my bidding!" 90 They said, "We shall continue worshipping the calf until Moses comes back." 91 Then Moses asked Aaron, "What made you not follow me when you saw them in error? 92 From following me? Then have you disobeyed my order?" 93 'Son of my mother' he replied, 'Do not seize my beard nor my head. I was afraid that you might say: "You have divided the Children of Israel and did not uphold my word." 94 Musa said: what was thy object, O Samiri? 95 He answered: "I saw what the people did not see. So I took a handful of dust from the trail of the Messenger, and I flung it (into the fire). Thus did my mind prompt me." 96 Musa (Moses) said: "Then go away! And verily, your (punishment) in this life will be that you will say: "Touch me not (i.e. you will live alone exiled away from mankind); and verily (for a future torment), you have a promise that will not fail. And look at your ilah (god), to which you have been devoted. We will certainly burn it, and scatter its particles in the sea." 97 Your only deity is God, there is no deity but Him. His knowledge encompasses all things." 98 This is how We relate the former tidings to you (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him); and We have given you a Remembrance* from Ourselves. (*The Holy Qur’an.) 99 Whosoever turnoth away therefrom - verily they shall bear on the Day of Judgment a burthen, 100 which they shall bear forever. It will be a grievous burden for them on the Day of Judgement, 101 On the day when the trumpet shall be blown, and We will gather the guilty, blue-eyed, on that day 102 They will slowly talk to each other and say, "Our life on earth was as short as ten days". 103 We know best what they say. The moderate ones among them will say, "You did not live on earth for more than a day." 104
