Whomsoever We grant a long life, We reverse him in his constitution. Do they still not understand? 68 AND [thus it is:] We have not imparted to this [Prophet the gift of] poetry, nor would [poetry] have suited this [message]: it is but a reminder and a [divine] discourse, clear in itself and clearly showing the truth, 69 by which he may warn those who are living and may let the words of God come true against the unbelievers. 70 Do they not see the cattle among things We have fashioned by Our power, which they own, 71 We have subjected these to them, so that some may be used for riding and some for food, 72 some for milk to drink and some from which other benefits may be received? Will they not be grateful? 73 But [nay,] they take to worshipping deities other than God, [hoping] to be succoured [by them, and not knowing that] 74 They are not able to help them, and they [themselves] are for them soldiers in attendance. 75 So do not let their saying grieve thee; assuredly We know what they keep secret and what they publish. 76 Has the human being not considered that We have created him from a drop of fluid. He is openly quarrelsome. 77 And he has struck for Us a similitude and forgotten his creation; he says, 'Who shall quicken the bones when they are decayed?' 78 Say, "He will give them life Who created them for the first time! for He is Well-versed in every kind of creation!- 79 Who hath appointed for you fire from the green tree, and behold! ye kindle from it. 80 Is He who created the heavens and the earth unable to create their like? Yes, indeed, He is the Creator, the Knower. 81 His command, when He desires a thing, is to say to it 'Be,' and it is. 82 So glory be to Him, in whose hand is the dominion of everything, and unto whom you shall be returned. 83
