The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Exalt the name of your Lord, the Most High, 1 Who hath created and then proportioned, 2 who determines the nature [of all that exists], and guided it accordingly; 3 and who brings forth herbage, 4 and thereupon causes it to decay into rust-brown stubble! 5 By degrees shall We teach thee to declare (the Message), so thou shalt not forget, 6 save what God may will [thee to forget] - for, verily, He [alone] knows all that is open to [man's] perception as well as all that is hidden [from it] 7 We shall ease you to follow the way of Ease. 8 Therefore remind, if the Reminder benefits, 9 He who fears [Allah] will be reminded. 10 But it will be avoided by those most unfortunate ones, 11 and suffer the heat of the great fire 12 Then therein he shall neither live nor die. 13 He indeed hath attained bliss who hath cleansed himself, 14 And who mentioned the name of his Lord, then offered prayer. 15 Nay! you prefer the life of this world, 16 whereas the Hereafter is better and more enduring. 17 This indeed is what is taught in the former scriptures -- 18 The scriptures of Ibrahim and Musa. 19
