T H (Taa Haa)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ Ta-Ha.* (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him) (Alphabets of the Arabic language – Allah and to whomever He reveals know their precise meanings.) 1 We have not revealed unto thee (Muhammad) this Qur'an that thou shouldst be distressed, 2 but only as an exhortation to all who stand in awe [of God]: 3 A down-sent from Him who Created the earth and the heavens high. 4 the All-compassionate sat Himself upon the Throne; to Him belongs 5 To Him belongs all that is in the heavens and the earth, and all that lies between them, and underneath the soil. 6 Be thou loud in thy speech, yet surely He knows the secret and that yet more hidden. 7 Allah, there is no god except He. To Him belong the most Beautiful Names. 8 Has the story of Moses reached you? 9 When he saw the fire, he said to his family, "Wait here for I can see a fire. Perhaps I shall bring you a burning torch or find a way to some fire". 10 When he came to it, a voice cried, 'Moses, 11 I Am your Lord. Take off your shoes; you are in the holy valley of Tuwa. 12 And I! I have chosen thee, hearken thou then to that which shall be revealed. 13 Verily I am Allah. There is no god beside Me. So serve Me and establish Prayers to remember Me. 14 Indeed, the Hour is coming - I almost conceal it - so that every soul may be recompensed according to that for which it strives. 15 Let not the unbelievers who follow their vain desires make you forget the Day of Judgment, lest you will perish." 16 And what is that in thy right hand, O Musa! 17 He said, "It is my staff; I lean upon it, and I bring down leaves for my sheep and I have therein other uses." 18 He said: Cast it down, O Moses! 19 He threw it, and behold! It was a snake, active in motion. 20 (Allah) said, "Seize it, and fear not: We shall return it at once to its former condition".. 21 "And press your (right) hand to your (left) side, it will come forth white (and shining), without any disease as another sign, 22 That We may shew thee of Our Signs the greatest. 23 Go thou unto Fir'awn; verily he hath waxen exorbitant. 24
