And certainly We conferred a favor on Musa and Haroun. 114 And rescued them and their people from the great calamity. 115 We succoured them, and they gained the upper hand (against their enemies). 116 And We gave them the divine writ that made [right and wrong] distinct, 117 and guided them in the straight path, 118 and We left them thus to be succeeded by a group [of followers] among later generations: 119 "Peace be upon Moses and Aaron!" 120 Lo! thus do We reward the good. 121 They were two of Our believing servants. 122 And indeed, Elias was from among the messengers, 123 He asked his people: 'Do you not fear (Allah)? 124 Do you call upon Ba'l and leave the best of creators - 125 Allah, your Lord and Lord of your forefathers? 126 In response they denied him, so they will surely be brought forth as captives. 127 Except the bondmen of Allah sincere. 128 We perpetuated his praise in the later generations. 129 Peace be with the followers of Elias. 130 Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. 131 Verily he was one of Our bondmen believing. 132 And lo! Lot verily was of those sent (to warn). 133 [and so,] when [We decreed the doom of his sinful town,] We saved him and his household, 134 except an old woman who was among those that stayed behind; 135 Then We destroyed the others. 136 You pass by their ruins morning 137 And at night; do you not then understand? 138
