Did you (O Muhammad SAW) observe him who turned away (from Islam). 33 and grudgingly spends very little for the cause of God? 34 Or, does he possess knowledge of the Unseen, and can therefore see? 35 Has he not been informed of what is in the Scrolls of Moses, 36 and about Abraham who fulfilled his duty (to God)? 37 To wit, that a burthened soul shall not bear the burthen of another. 38 and that man shall have nothing but what he has striven for, 39 and that (the result of) his striving shall soon be seen, 40 then he shall be recompensed for it with the fullest recompense, 41 And that to your Lord is the goal- 42 and that it is He alone who causes [you] to laugh and to weep; 43 and that it is He who causes to die, and causes to live 44 And that it is He Who has created the two pairs, male and female? 45 From the small seed when it is adapted 46 And that only upon Him is the next revival? 47 That it is He Who giveth wealth and satisfaction; 48 that He is the Lord of Sirius. 49 It was He who totally destroyed the former 'Ad 50 And the Thamud nor gave them a lease of perpetual life. 51 and the people of Noah; they were the most unjust and rebellious people. 52 And the overthrown cities did He overthrow, 53 Then covered them with that which covered them. 54 On which then of your Lord's signs do you cast doubt? 55 He (Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him) is a Herald of Warning, like the former Heralds of Warning. 56 The imminent Hour has drawn near, 57 None, except Allah, can avert it. 58 Are you astonished at this news, 59 And keep laughing and do not weep, 60 Will you remain proudly heedless? 61 But fall ye down in prostration to Allah, and adore (Him)! ۩ 62
