The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By those that pluck out vehemently 1 and move [in their orbits] with steady motion, 2 And those who glide swimmingly, 3 Then outpace the others swiftly 4 And then they manage the affair, 5 On the day when the first trump resoundeth. 6 Followed by the second blast, 7 (Some) hearts that Day will shake with fear and anxiety. 8 Their looks will be downcast. 9 They say (now): "What! shall we indeed be returned to (our) former state? 10 after we have become bones and dust?" 11 They say: "It would, in that case, be a return with loss!" 12 [But,] then, that [Last Hour] will be [upon them of a sudden, as if it were] but a single accusing cry 13 and behold, they are awakened. 14 Have you heard the story of Moses? 15 Recall what time his Lord called unto him in the holy vale of Tuwa. 16 That “Go to Firaun – he has rebelled.” 17 And say to him: "Would you purify yourself (from the sin of disbelief by becoming a believer)", 18 ‘And I may guide you to your Lord, so that you may fear.’” 19 Moses showed him the great sign, 20 but he cried lies, and rebelled, 21 Then turned he away in haste, 22 Then he collected (his men) and made a proclamation, 23 And proclaimed: "I (Pharaoh) am your Lord the Highest." 24 So Allah seized him with the punishment of the Everlasting Life, and of this world. 25 Lo! herein is indeed a lesson for him who feareth. 26
