Al-Mu' minoon 4 of 6
[Allah said], "O messengers, eat from the good foods and work righteousness. Indeed, I, of what you do, am Knowing. 51 This community of yours is one community, and I am your Lord; so hold Me alone in fear. 52 But they cut off their religion among themselves into sects, each part rejoicing in that which is with them. 53 So leave them in their intoxication till a time. 54 Do they fancy that Our continuing to give them wealth and children (means) that 55 We provide them with the means of competing with each other in virtuous deeds, but they do not realize this. 56 Indeed those who are overwhelmed due to the fear of their Lord – 57 And those who believe in the revelations of their Lord, 58 and who do not ascribe divinity to aught but their Sustainer, 59 And those who give what they give and their hearts fear for they have to return to their Lord. 60 it is these who hasten to do good works and vie in so doing with one another. 61 And We do not burden any soul beyond its capacity, and with Us is a Book* that speaks the truth, and they will not be wronged. (* The preserved tablet or the record of one’s deeds.) 62 But their hearts are covered with confusion over this, and they have [evil] deeds besides disbelief which they are doing, 63 Until when We seize their affluent ones with punishment, at once they are crying [to Allah] for help. 64 Invoke not loudly this day! Certainly, you shall not be helped by Us. 65 My verses had already been recited to you, but you were turning back on your heels 66 waxing proud against it, talking foolish talk by night.' 67 Did they never ponder over this Word (of God)? Or has he (to wit, the Messenger) brought something the like of which did not come to their forefathers of yore? 68 Or did they not know their Messenger, so they are toward him disacknowledging? 69 Or do they say that he is possessed? In fact, he has brought the truth to them, but most of them abhor the truth. 70 And were the truth to follow their desires there would have been corrupted the heavens and the earth and whatsoever is therein. Aye! We have come to them with their admonition; so it is from their admonition that they turn away. 71 (Do they disbelieve because) you asked them for payment? The reward that you will receive from your Lord is the best. He is the best Provider. 72 And verily thou! thou callest them unto a Path straight. 73 But those who do not believe in the Hereafter have indeed deviated from that path. 74 ۞ Did We have mercy on them, and remove the affliction that is upon them, they would persist in their insolence wandering blindly. 75 Already have We grasped them with punishment, but they humble not themselves unto their Lord, nor do they pray, 76 To the extent that when We opened the gate of a severe punishment for them, they thereupon lie despairingly in it. 77

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
