▼ 56 The Inevitable
Al-Waaqe'ah 3 of 3
۞ NAY, I call to witness the coming-down in parts [of this Qur'an] 75 And most surely it is a very great oath if you only knew; 76 that this is indeed a noble Quran, 77 in a well-guarded preserved Book, 78 which none can touch except the purified. 79 (This Quran) is a revelation from the Lord of the Universe. 80 Is it this discourse that ye hold lightly? 81 Do you make its denial your means of livelihood? 82 Why, then, when (the soul) cometh up to the throat (of the dying) 83 And you wait for the moment (of death), 84 (And We are nigher him than you, but you do not see Us) 85 Then why is it not-- if you are not held under authority-- 86 Cause ye it not to return, if ye say sooth? 87 Then if the dying one is of those having proximity, – 88 happiness [awaits him in the life to come,] and inner fulfillment, and a garden of bliss. 89 And if he is one of the People on the Right, 90 Then [the angels will say], "Peace for you; [you are] from the companions of the right." 91 And if he is one of the rejecters, the erring ones, 92 there shall be a hospitality of boiling water 93 And roasting at hell-fire. 94 This is indeed the indubitable truth. 95 Extol, then, the limitless glory of thy Sustainer's mighty name! 96

كيف تعمل منظومة تمارين الحفظ؟ عند أدنى مستوى 0، تكون كل الكلمات ظاهرة. بينما يُخفي أعلى مستوى 9 كل الكلمات. فكيف تعمل المستويات المتوسطة، مثل 3، على سبيل المثال؟ قد تعتقد بأن المنظومة تخفي 3 من كل تسع كلمات بدقة. ليس تماما! في المستوى 3، لكل كلمة فرصة اختفاء بنسبة 3 من 9، و6 من 9 لتكون ظاهرة. بمعنى آخر، من الممكن، ولكن باحتمال شبة معدوم، أن تكون جميع كلمات المستوى 3 مخفية، أو أن تكون جميعها ظاهرة! وكذلك أيضًا، ففي المستويات المتوسطة، وبما يتناسب مع مستوى الصعوبة، يمكن أن تكون المخابئ غير كاملة أو شفافة جزئيًا بحيث تظهر الكلمات جزئيًا تحتها.
How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
