Would that you could see the guilty standing before their Lord with their heads downcast, (saying to Him): “Our Lord, we have now seen and heard, so send us back (to the world) that we might act righteously. For now we have come to have firm faith.” 12 And had We willed We would have given every soul its guidance, but My Word is decreed that I will certainly fill hell with these jinns and men, combined. 13 So taste, because you neglected the meeting of this day of yours; surely We forsake you; and taste the abiding chastisement for what you did. 14 They alone believe in Our revelations who, when they are reminded thereof, fall down prostrate and hallow the praise of their Lord, and they are not stiff-necked. ۩ 15 They arise from [their] beds; they supplicate their Lord in fear and aspiration, and from what We have provided them, they spend. 16 No soul knows what peace and joy lie hidden from them as reward for what they have done. 17 What? Is he who has been a believer like unto him who has been ungodly? They are not equal. 18 As for those who believe and do good, the gardens are their abiding-place; an entertainment for what they did. 19 And as for those who transgress their abode is the Fire. So oft as they desire to get thereout, they shall be sent back thereto; and it will be said unto them: taste the torment of the Fire which ye were wont to belie. 20 And most surely We will make them taste a lesser punishment before the greater punishment, so that perhaps they may return to Us in repentance. 21 Who is more wicked than he who is reminded of his Lord's revelations yet turns away from them; We will surely requite the sinners. 22
