Q (Qaaf)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
Qaf; by oath of the Glorious Qur’an. 1 Nay; they wondered that a warner should have come to them from among themselves. The unbelievers said: “This indeed is a strange thing. 2 When we have died and have become dust, [we will return to life]? That is a distant return." 3 We already know how much of them the earth takes away: With Us is a record guarding (the full account). 4 Nay, they rejected the truth when it came to them, so they are (now) in a state of confusion. 5 Have they not observed the sky above them and marked how We have built it and adorned it, leaving no flaws in it; 6 And the earth - We spread it out and cast therein firmly set mountains and made grow therein [something] of every beautiful kind, 7 for an insight and a reminder to every penitent servant. 8 And We send down water as a blessing from the sky, and grow gardens with it and the grain for harvest, 9 And lofty date-palms with ranged clusters, 10 As a provision for men, and enlivened a region that was dead. Even thus will be the life after death. 11 Before them was denied (the Hereafter) by the People of Noah, the Companions of the Rass, the Thamud, 12 And the A-ad, and Fir'awn, and the brethren of Lut. 13 and the dwellers of the Wood, and the people of Tubba': every one denied their messengers, and so My warning came true. 14 What, were We wearied by the first creation? No indeed; but they are in uncertainty as to the new creation. 15
