Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the winds sent forth in swift succession, 1 And the winds that blow violently 2 By the spreading winds spreading. 3 Then separate them, one from another, 4 By those who bring down the Reminder, 5 to serve as an excuse or a warning. 6 Indeed what you are promised, will surely befall. 7 Thus, [it will come to pass] when the stars are effaced, 8 and the sky is rent asunder, 9 and when the mountains are scattered like dust, 10 And when the messengers are (all) appointed a time (to collect);- 11 For what day is the time appointed? 12 Upon the Day of Decision! 13 Would that you knew what the Day of Decision is! 14 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 15 Did We not destroy the ancient people 16 Then caused the latter folk to follow after? 17 Even thus shall We deal with the guilty. 18 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 19 Did We not create you from a humble fluid, 20 which We then placed in a secure repository 21 till a known term decreed? 22 We then calculated; so how excellently do We control! 23 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 24 Did We not make the earth as a gathering place 25 Both for the living and the dead, 26 And have placed therein firm, and tall mountains; and have given you to drink sweet water? 27 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 28 Depart to that you cried was lies! 29 “Move towards the shadow of the smoke having three branches.” 30 “Which neither gives shade, nor saves from the flame.” 31 "Indeed it throws about sparks (huge) as Forts, 32 and yellow camels. 33 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 34 This is the day they shall not speak 35 nor be allowed to proffer excuses! 36 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 37 That will be a Day of Sorting out! We shall gather you together and those before (you)! 38 If now you have any strategy, use it against Me. 39 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 40
