Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
HAS NEWS OF the Overpowering Event reached you? 1 Faces on that day humbled, 2 Labouring (hard), weary,- 3 They will [enter to] burn in an intensely hot Fire. 4 Made to drink water from the boiling hot spring. 5 No food will there be for them but a poisonous thorny plant, 6 Which doth not nourish nor release from hunger. 7 Faces on that Day shall be delighted, 8 well pleased with the result of their striving, 9 In a high Garden 10 Where they shall hear no (word) of vanity: 11 Therein is a fountain flowing, 12 raised couches, 13 And chosen goblets. 14 cushions ranged, 15 And carpets ready spread, 16 Then do they not look at the camels - how they are created? 17 And the sky: how it was raised high? 18 how the mountains were hoisted, 19 and on the earth, how it is spread out? 20 So render good counsel, for you are simply required to counsel, 21 and are not invested with the authority to compel them. 22 As for those who turn their back and disbelieve, 23 Allah will punish them with the greatest punishment. 24 Indeed, to Us they shall return, 25 then upon Us shall rest their reckoning. 26
