But none of them put faith in Moses except some youths among his people who were nonetheless afraid lest the Pharaoh and his nobles should persecute them; for the Pharaoh was mighty in the land, and guilty of excesses. 83 Moses said: 'O my nation, if you believe in Allah, put your trust in Him, if you have surrendered (Muslims)' 84 They said: "In Allah do we put out trust. Our Lord! make us not a trial for those who practise oppression; 85 And do Thou deliver us by Thy mercy from the unbelieving people. 86 And We sent the divine revelation to Moosa and his brother that, “Build houses for your people in Egypt and make your houses as places of worship, and keep the prayer established, and give glad tidings to the Muslims.” 87 Moses prayed: "Our Lord! Thou hast indeed bestowed on Pharaoh and his chiefs splendour and wealth in the life of the present, and so, Our Lord, they mislead (men) from Thy Path. Deface, our Lord, the features of their wealth, and send hardness to their hearts, so they will not believe until they see the grievous penalty." 88 Allah said: surely the petition of you twain is accepted, so keep straight on, and follow not the path of those who know not. 89 ۞ And We took the Children of Israel across the sea, and Fir'aun (Pharaoh) with his hosts followed them in oppression and enmity, till when drowning overtook him, he said: "I believe that La ilaha illa (Huwa): (none has the right to be worshipped but) He," in Whom the Children of Israel believe, and I am one of the Muslims (those who submit to Allah's Will)." 90 Now indeed! whereas thou hast rebelled afore, and wast of the corrupters. 91 But We will this day deliver you with your body that you may be a sign to those after you, and most surely the majority of the people are heedless to Our communications. 92
