1/2 Hizb 35
< random >
O ye messengers! Eat of the good things, and do right. Lo! I am Aware of what ye do. 51 This community of yours is one community, and I am your Lord; so hold Me alone in fear. 52 But they split in their affair between them into sects, each party rejoicing in what is with them. 53 Therefore leave them in their overwhelming ignorance till 54 Do they think that by all the wealth and offspring with which We provide them 55 We are hastening them on to good things? Aye! they perceive not. 56 Surely they who from fear of their Lord are cautious, 57 Who believe in their Lord's revelations, 58 who associate none with their Lord in His Divinity, 59 and who give whatever they [have to] give with their hearts trembling at the thought that unto their Sustainer they must return: 60 those, hasten in good works, outracing to them. 61 And We do not burden any soul beyond its capacity, and with Us is a Book* that speaks the truth, and they will not be wronged. (* The preserved tablet or the record of one’s deeds.) 62 Yet their hearts are oblivious of this; and besides, they are busy with other things, 63 So that when We seize the affluent among them with affliction, they will begin to implore for help. 64 'Groan not today; surely you shall not be helped from Us. 65 My verses were recited to you, but you turned upon your heels, 66 in arrogance, as if you were abandoning a story-teller. 67 Have they, then, never tried to understand this word [of God]? Or has there [now] come to them something that never came to their forefathers of old? 68 Or is it that they did not recognize their Messenger (Muhammad SAW) so they deny him? 69 Or say they: There is a madness in him? Nay, but he bringeth them the Truth; and most of them are haters of the Truth. 70 Had the truth followed their desires, the heavens and the earth and all that is in them would have been destroyed. We sent them the Quran but they ignored it. 71 Or are you asking them for any reward? But the reward of your Lord is the best, for He is the Best of Providers, 72 And indeed you call them to the Straight Path. 73 But those who believe not in the Hereafter turn away from the straight path. 74 ۞ Even if We showed them mercy and relieved them of their afflictions, they would still persist in their transgression, wandering blindly. 75 And indeed, We tested them through suffering, but they did not abase themselves before their Sustainer; and they will never humble themselves 76 until We opened upon them the door of a severe chastisement. Then lo, in this state they become utterly despaired of any good. 77
