۞ Say to them, (O Prophet): “I give you but one counsel: stand up (for heaven's sake), singly and in pairs, and then think: what is it in your companion (to wit, Muhammad) that could be deemed as madness?” He is nothing but a warner, warning you before the coming of a grevious chastisement. 46 Say thou: whatsoever hire I might have asked of you is yours; my hire is with Allah only. And He is of everything a Witness. 47 Say to them, "My Lord hurls forth the Truth [at falsehood] and He is the knower of hidden things." 48 Proclaim, “The truth has come, and falsehood dare not commence nor return.” 49 Proclaim, “If I stray, I stray only for my own harm; and if I attain guidance, it is because of what my Lord has sent down to me; indeed He is All Hearing, Close.” 50 If you could see when they are gripped by terror without any escape, and are seized from close at hand 51 And say: We (now) believe therein. But how can they reach (faith) from afar off, 52 They disbelieved in it before and indulged in conjectures from far away. 53 And between them and their desires a barrier shall be placed as was done in the past with people of their ilk; for they were indeed in disquieting doubt. 54
