Al-Saaffaat 4 of 5
We were indeed gracious to Moses and Aaron, 114 And We saved them and their people from the great affliction, 115 And We helped them, so they were the vanquishers. 116 and We gave them the Clear Book, 117 And We guided them on the straight path. 118 And We perpetuated (praise) to them among the later generations. 119 Peace be unto Moses and Aaron! 120 Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. 121 Verily! They were two of Our believing slaves. 122 So also was Elias among those sent (by Us). 123 (Call to mind) when he said to his people: “Will you not fear Allah? 124 Do you call on Baal, and abandon the Best of creators? 125 “Allah – Who is your Lord and the Lord of your forefathers?” 126 But they belied him, so they will be among the arraigned (in Hell), 127 except the sincere servants of God. 128 We perpetuated his praise in the later generations. 129 Peace be with the followers of Elias. 130 As such We recompense the gooddoers. 131 He is indeed one of Our high ranking, firmly believing bondmen. 132 Lot too was one of the Envoys; 133 When We rescued him and his entire household. 134 except an old woman who was among those that stayed behind; 135 Then We destroyed the others. 136 And surely ye pass by them in the morning. 137 And at night; will you not then reflect? 138
