The All High (Al-A'alaa)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Rolling (Al-Takweer) before The Night (Al-Layl)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ EXTOL the limitless glory of thy Sustainer's name: [the glory of] the Al-Highest, 1 who created all things and gave them due proportions, 2 And Who hath disposed and then guided, 3 who brings forth green pasture, 4 Then makes it dried up, dust-colored. 5 We shall make you recite (the Qur'an) so that you will not forget it, 6 except what Allah wills, surely, He knows all that is (spoken) aloud and what is hidden. 7 And We will make your way smooth to a state of ease. 8 So remind them if reminder is profitable: 9 He who fears (Allah) shall heed it, 10 But the most hapless will flout it, 11 Who will enter the Great Fire, 12 in which he will neither die nor live therein. 13 He indeed shall be successful who purifies himself, 14 remembering his Lord's name and praying. 15 No; but you prefer the present life, 16 Whereas the Hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 Verily! This is in the former Scriptures, 18 the Scrolls of Abraham and Moses. 19
True are the words of God the Almighty.
