We were indeed gracious to Moses and Aaron, 114 And saved them and their people from the great distress, 115 And helped them, so that they became the victors; 116 And We gave them the explicit Scripture, 117 and guided them upon the Straight Path. 118 And We left for the twain among the posterity: 119 "Peace upon Moses and Aaron." 120 Even so We recompense the good-doers; 121 Surely they were both of Our believing servants. 122 And indeed, Elias was from among the messengers, 123 He said to his people, "Have you no fear [of God?] 124 Do you call on Baal, and abandon the Best of creators? 125 Allah, your Lord and the Lord of your fathers of yore? 126 But they gave him the lie: and therefore they will most surely be arraigned [on Judgment Day,] 127 Save single-minded slaves of Allah. 128 And We left (this blessing) for him among generations (to come) in later times: 129 "Peace be on Elijah and his people!" 130 Verily, thus do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers, who perform good deeds totally for Allah's sake only - see V. 2:112). 131 Indeed, he was of Our believing servants. 132 And Lot too was one of the Messengers. 133 When We rescued him and his entire household. 134 except an old woman who lingered, 135 and We destroyed the rest. 136 and, verily, [to this day] you pass by the remnants of their dwellings at morning-time 137 and in the night; will you not understand? 138
