The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ THE MOST GRACIOUS 1 has taught the Koran. 2 He hath created man. 3 He has taught him speech (and intelligence). 4 The sun and the moon are scheduled. 5 And the herbs and the trees do obeisance. 6 and He has raised up the heaven and has set a balance 7 That you not transgress within the balance. 8 weigh, therefore, [your deeds] with equity, and cut not the measure short! 9 And the earth He laid [out] for the creatures. 10 Therein are fruit and palm-trees sheathed. 11 grain with its husk and aromatic herbs. 12 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 13 He created man of clay like the potter's, 14 and has created the jinn from the flame of fire. 15 Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord will ye twain belie 16 [He is] Lord of the two sunrises and Lord of the two sunsets. 17 So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? 18 He has let loosed the two seas (the salt water and the sweet) meeting together. 19 Between them is a barrier [so] neither of them transgresses. 20 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 21 From them come forth the pearl and the coral. 22 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord would you then deny? 23 And to Him belong the ships [with sails] elevated in the sea like mountains. 24 Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? 25
