The Hidden Secret (Al-Muddath-thir)
56 verses, revealed in Mecca after Unknown Person (Al-Muzzammil) before The Key (Al-Faatehah)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
O thou enveloped! 1 Arise and warn! 2 Glorify your Lord, 3 and purify your clothing, 4 shun uncleanness; 5 Give not, thinking to gain greater 6 Exercise patience to please your Lord. 7 When the trumpet is sounded,. 8 that Day will be a hard and distressing Day. 9 Not easy upon the disbelievers. 10 Leave Me alone with he whom I created 11 and to whom I have granted resources in abundance, 12 And sons present by his side. 13 and made all things smooth for him; 14 And yet he desires that I should add more! 15 Nay, verily, it is against Our messages that he knowingly, stubbornly sets himself 16 We shall make him suffer the torment of hell without relief. 17 He planned and plotted. 18 (Self-)destroyed is he, how he planned! 19 Again, ruin seize him, how did he hatch a scheme? 20 Then he looked, 21 Then he frowned and scowled, 22 and he turned his back and behaved arrogantly 23 He said, 'This is naught but a trumped-up sorcery; 24 This is nothing but the word of mortal man!" 25 Him shall I fling unto the burning. 26 Would that you really knew what hell is! 27 It leaves nothing, nor does it spare; 28 and it burns the flesh. 29 Over it are nineteen (angels guarding). 30 And We have not made the wardens of the fire others than angels, and We have not made their number but as a trial for those who disbelieve, that those who have been given the book may be certain and those who believe may increase in faith, and those who have been given the book and the believers may not doubt, and that those in whose hearts is a disease and the unbelievers may say: What does Allah mean by this parable? Thus does Allah make err whom He pleases, and He guides whom He pleases, and none knows the hosts of your Lord but He Himself; and this is naught but a reminder to the mortals. 31

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
