The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the heavens and al-tariq. 1 And what will make you know what the comer by night is? 2 (It is) the star of piercing brightness; 3 That over each soul there is a guardian. 4 So let man consider of what he was created. 5 He was created from ejaculated water 6 issuing from between the loins [of man] and the pelvic arch [of woman]. 7 Now, verily, He [who thus creates man in the first instance] is well able to bring him back [to life] 8 on the Day when consciences are examined, 9 Then he shall have no power nor any helper. 10 By the heavens, ever-revolving, 11 And by the earth which splitteth, 12 That this (Qur'an) is a decisive word 13 and is not to be taken lightly. 14 They are cunningly devising, 15 And I am plotting a plot. 16 so bear with those who deny the truth, and let them be for a little while. 17
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
