Wherefore admonish thou! thou art not, by the grace of thy Lord, a soothsayer or a madman. 29 If they say, "He is but a poet; we are waiting for some misfortune to befall him," 30 Proclaim, “Go on waiting I too am waiting along with you.” 31 Do their minds prompt them to say such things, or are they a people immersed in transgression?” 32 Or do they say: "He has fabricated it?" In fact, they will never believe. 33 So let them bring a single discourse like it, if they are truthful. 34 Have they not been created from some source, or are they themselves the creators? 35 Or did they create the heavens and the earth? Rather, they are not certain. 36 Do they possess the treasures of your Lord? Or are they the treasurers? 37 Have they a ladder up to heaven by means of which they can overhear? Then let their listeners bring a clear proof. 38 Or, has He daughters, and they sons? 39 Or do you (O dear Prophet Mohammed peace and blessings be upon him) ask any fee from them, so they are burdened with the penalty? 40 Or possess they the Unseen so that they can write (it) down? 41 Or do they intend a plot (against thee)? But those who defy Allah are themselves involved in a Plot! 42 Or have they a deity other than Allah? Exalted is Allah above whatever they associate with Him. 43 AND YET, if they [who refuse to see the truth] were to see part of the sky falling down, they would [only] say: "[It is but] a mass of clouds!" 44 Leave them then till they meet that day of theirs wherein they shall be made to swoon (with terror): 45 the Day when none of their scheming will be of the least avail to them, and they will receive no succour. 46 Truly, for those who do wrong there is a punishment besides that, though most of them do not know it. 47 And be patient under the Judgement of your Lord, surely, you are before Our Eyes. And exalt with the praise of your Lord when you arise, 48 And in the night time, also glorify His Praises, and at the setting of the stars. 49
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
