The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
When the sunlight is rolled up. 1 And when the stars shall dart down, 2 And when the mountains shall made to pass away; 3 When the she-camels, ten months with young, are left untended; 4 when the savage beasts shall be mustered, 5 And when the seas are set afire. 6 when the souls shall be rejoined (with their bodies), 7 When the female (infant), buried alive, is questioned - 8 for what sin she was slain, 9 And when the Records of Account are laid bare. 10 and when Heaven is laid bare; 11 And when hell is further enflamed. 12 And when Paradise shall be brought near, 13 then, each soul shall know what it has produced. 14 So verily, I swear by the planets that recede (i.e. disappear during the day and appear during the night). 15 That run their course (and) hide themselves, 16 And the Night as it dissipates; 17 and the morning when it extends, 18 Verily this is the word of a most honourable Messenger, 19 The mighty, the honoured in the presence of the Lord of the Throne. 20 obeyed, moreover trusty. 21 Nor is your companion distracted. 22 Assuredly he beheld him in the horizon manifest. 23 And he (Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) withholds not a knowledge of the unseen. 24 And the Qur’an is not the recitation of Satan the outcast. 25 Whither then go ye? 26 It is naught but a reminder for the nations, 27 (With profit) to whoever among you wills to go straight: 28 And you will not, unless (it be) that Allah wills, the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists). 29
