Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ When the sky breaks apart 1 and when the stars are scattered, 2 And when the seas are burst forth (got dried up); 3 when the tombs are overthrown, 4 Each soul will know what it had sent ahead and what it had left behind. 5 O man! What is it that lures you away from your bountiful Sustainer, 6 Who created thee, then fashioned, then proportioned thee? 7 in whatever composition He wanted. 8 No indeed; but you cry lies to the Doom; 9 Lo! there are above you guardians, 10 Kind and honourable,- Writing down (your deeds): 11 who know all that you do: 12 Verily, the Abrar (pious and righteous) will be in delight (Paradise); 13 And indeed, the wicked will be in Hellfire. 14 which they shall enter on the Day of Judgement, 15 and which they shall not [be able to] evade. 16 What could let you know what the Day of Recompense is! 17 Again would that you only knew how terrible it really is! 18 A day on which no soul hath power at all for any (other) soul. The (absolute) command on that day is Allah's. 19
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
End of Surah: Shattering (Al-Infitaar). Sent down in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
