Say, [O Muhammad], "My Lord, if You should show me that which they are promised, 93 "My Lord! Then (save me from Your Punishment), and put me not amongst the people who are the Zalimun (polytheists and wrong-doing)." 94 Surely We are able to show you what We warn them against. 95 Repel evil with what is best, We are well aware of the things they say, 96 Say, "Lord, I seek your protection against the strong temptations of the devils. 97 O my Lord, I seek refuge in You lest they attend me' 98 When death approaches one of the unbelievers, he says, "Lord, send me back again 99 so that I may do good works in the world I have left behind." Never! It is indeed but a meaningless word that he utters. A barrier shall stand behind such people till the Day they are raised up again. 100 Then, when the trumpet [of resurrection] is blown, no ties of kinship will on that Day prevail among them, and neither will they ask about one another. 101 And they whose weight [of righteousness] is heavy in the balance - it is they, they who will have attained to a happy state; 102 and those whose scales are light, those will be the ones who will have courted loss. They will abide in Hell. 103 The Fire will scorch their faces and they will abide therein with their faces distorted. 104 Were not My communications recited to you? But you used to reject them. 105 They shall say: O our Lord! our adversity overcame us and we were an erring people: 106 Lord, deliver us from Hell. Then, if we revert again, we shall definitely be wrongdoers." 107 He will say, "Be quiet and say nothing." 108 Among My worshipers there were a party who said: "Lord, we believed. Forgive us and have mercy on us: You are the Best of the merciful." 109 But you took them in mockery to the point that they made you forget My remembrance, and you used to laugh at them. 110 I have rewarded them this day for they were constant, and they have come to attainment." 111 [And] He will ask [the doomed]: "What number of years have you spent on earth?" 112 They will say: "We stayed a day or part of a day: but ask those who keep account." 113 He will say, "You stayed not but a little - if only you had known. 114 Did you imagine that We created you without any purpose, and that you will not be brought back to Us?" 115 [KNOW,] then, [that] God is sublimely exalted, the Ultimate Sovereign, the Ultimate Truth: there is no deity save Him, the Sustainer, in bountiful almightiness enthroned! 116 Hence, he who invokes, side by side with God, any other deity - [a deity] for whose existence he has no evidence - shall but find his reckoning with his Sustainer: [and,] verily, such deniers of the truth will never attain to a happy state! 117 And, [O Muhammad], say, "My Lord, forgive and have mercy, and You are the best of the merciful." 118
God the Almighty always says the truth.
