S (Saad)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
Saad* – By oath of the renowned Qur’an, (Alphabet of the Arabic language; Allah and to whomever He reveals, know their precise meanings.) 1 But those who disbelieve are in pride and dissension. 2 How many generations have We destroyed before them. They called: 'The time is neither of escape, nor safety' 3 And they wonder that there has come to them a warner from among themselves, and the disbelievers say: This is an enchanter, a liar. 4 Has he made the gods one single God? This is truly astounding.” 5 And the eminent among them went forth, [saying], "Continue, and be patient over [the defense of] your gods. Indeed, this is a thing intended. 6 "We never heard (the like) of this among the people of these latter days: this is nothing but a made-up tale!" 7 Can it be that he alone has received the Quran?" In fact, they have doubts about My Quran and this is because they have not yet faced (My) torment. 8 Or have they the treasures of the mercy of thy Lord,- the Exalted in Power, the Grantor of Bounties without measure? 9 Or is the kingdom of the heavens and the earth and all that lies between them, theirs? Then let them climb up the ladders (to the heavens). 10 They will be one more army vanquished among the many routed hordes. 11 Before them the people of Noah denied the truth, as did the 'Ad and Pharaoh of the Stakes, 12 Thamood, the nation of Lot and the dwellers of the Thicket such were the confederates. 13 Each of them denied the messengers, so My penalty was justified. 14
