The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
78 verses, revealed in Medina after Thunder (Al-Ra'ad) before The Human (Al-Insan)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ The Compassionate. 1 has imparted this Qur'an [unto man]. 2 He created man. 3 He has taught him speech (and intelligence). 4 The sun and the moon to a reckoning, 5 And the stars and trees prostrate. 6 He raised the heavens and set up the measure, 7 So that none may err against the scales, 8 And observe the weight with equity and do not make the balance deficient. 9 And the earth, He has set it for living creatures; 10 Therein are fruit and palm-trees with their dates in sheaths, 11 And grain having husks and scented plants. 12 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 13 He created man from clay like that of earthenware. 14 And created jinn from the flame of fire. 15 How many favours of your Lord will you then deny? 16 (He is) Lord of the two Easts and Lord of the two Wests: 17 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 18 He has let loosed the two seas (the salt water and the sweet) meeting together. 19 Between them is a barrier, which they do not overrun. 20 Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord will ye twain belie? 21 Pearls and corals come from both. 22 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord would you then deny? 23 His are the lofty ships, that rear aloft on the sea like mountains. 24 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 25

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
