Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ I swear by the Day of Resurrection 1 And I call the reprehensive soul to witness: 2 Does man think that We cannot [resurrect him and] bring his bones together again? 3 Yes indeed; We are able to shape again his fingers. 4 But man wishes to do wrong (even) in the time in front of him. 5 He asks: “When will the Day of Resurrection be?” 6 but when the sight is dazed 7 the moon eclipsed. 8 and the sun and the moon are brought together 9 upon that day man shall say, 'Whither to flee?' 10 By no means! NO refuge! 11 With your Lord alone will be the retreat that Day. 12 Man will be apprised, on that Day, of what he has done and what he has left undone: 13 He shall be a clear proof against himself, 14 Even if he presents his excuses. 15 Move not your tongue concerning (the Quran, O Muhammad SAW) to make haste therewith. 16 Surely on Us (devolves) the collecting of it and the reciting of it. 17 So when We have recited it [through Gabriel], then follow its recitation. 18 and then, behold, it will be for Us to make its meaning clear. 19 Truly, you love immediate gain 20 and neglect the Hereafter. 21 Some faces that Day shall be Nadirah (shining and radiant). 22 Looking towards their Lord; 23 and upon that day faces shall be scowling, 24 knowing that a crushing calamity is about to befall them. 25 No indeed; when it reaches the clavicles 26 And it will be said: "Who can cure him and save him from death?" 27 And he will conclude that it was (the Time) of Parting; 28 And the leg is wound about the leg, 29 On that Day you will be driven to your Lord. 30
