The Night (Al-Layl)
21 verses, revealed in Mecca after The All High (Al-A'alaa) before Dawn (Al-Fajr)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By the night when it covers 1 And the day when it shines in all its glory, 2 and by Him Who created the male and the female: 3 surely your striving is to diverse ends. 4 As for him who giveth and is dutiful (toward Allah) 5 And accepts the best, 6 We shall facilitate for him the Way to Bliss. 7 And for him who hoarded wealth and remained carefree, 8 And gives the lie to Al-Husna (see Verse No: 6 footnote); 9 We shall facilitate for him the way to Hardship, 10 When he falls (into Hell), his wealth will not help him. 11 Verily We take upon Ourselves to guide, 12 And most surely Ours is the hereafter and the former. 13 I have now warned you of a Blazing Fire, 14 in which no one will suffer forever except the wicked ones 15 Who denies and turns away. 16 and from which the cautious shall be distanced. 17 Who giveth away his substance that he may be cleansed, 18 And not [giving] for anyone who has [done him] a favor to be rewarded 19 Other than seeking the glory of his Lord, most high, 20 and such, indeed, shall in time be well-pleased. 21
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
