Q (Qaaf)
45 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat) before The Town (Al-Balad)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
Qaaf. By the Glorious Koran! 1 Nay! they wonder that there has come to them a warner from among themselves, so the unbelievers say: This is a wonderful thing: 2 What, when we are dead and turned to dust? That indeed would be an unlikely return' 3 We know all that the earth takes away of them, and a Book of Records is with Us. 4 Aye! they belie the truth when it cometh unto them; wherefore they are in an affair confused. 5 Have they not looked up to the heaven above them, in what wise We have constructed and bedecked it, and that therein is no rift? 6 And the earth! We have spread it forth, and have cast therein firm mountains, and have caused to grow therein of every beauteous kind of plants: 7 for an insight and a reminder to every penitent servant. 8 And We send down from the sky rain charted with blessing, and We produce therewith gardens and Grain for harvests; 9 And lofty palm trees having fruit arranged in layers - 10 A provision for (Allah's) slaves. And We give life therewith to a dead land. Thus will be the resurrection (of the dead). 11 Before these, the people of Nooh had denied, and so did the dwellers of Rass and the Thamud. 12 Ad, the Pharaoh, Lot, 13 and the dwellers of the wooded dales [of Madyan,] and the people of Tubba: they all gave the lie to the apostles - and thereupon that whereof I had warned [them] came true. 14 Did We fail in the first creation? But they are in confusion over a new creation. 15

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
