۞ We said to Moses: "Travel by night with My creatures. You will surely be pursued." 52 And Pharaoh sent heralds unto all cities, 53 'These' they said, 'are a small band, 54 and they have enraged us, 55 and we are a host on our guard.' 56 So We expelled them from gardens, springs, 57 Treasures, and every kind of honourable position; 58 Thus it was: but [in the course of time] We were to bestow all these [things] as a heritage on the children of Israel. 59 And so [the Egyptians] caught up with them at sunrise; 60 And when the two hosts came in view of each other, Moses' companions said: 'We have been reached' 61 He said: Nay, verily! for lo! my Lord is with me. He will guide me. 62 Then We bade Moses strike the sea with his staff. And it parted, and each part was like a huge mountain. 63 And We caused the pursuers to draw near unto that place: 64 We delivered Moses and all those who were with him, 65 then, We drowned the others. 66 Lo! herein is indeed a portent, yet most of them are not believers. 67 Indeed your Lord is mighty and merciful. 68
