The people of Noah also rejected the messengers. 105 When their brother Noah said unto them: Will ye not ward off (evil)? 106 Verily I am unto you an apostle trusted. 107 so fear Allah and obey me. 108 And I do not ask you any reward for it; my reward is only with the Lord of the worlds: 109 So fear Allah and obey me." 110 ۞ They said: "Shall we believe in you, when the meanest (of the people) follow you?" 111 Said he: "And what knowledge could I have as to what they were doing [before they came to me]? 112 "Their account is only with my Lord, if ye could (but) understand. 113 And I am not (here) to repulse believers. 114 I am only a plain warner." 115 They said: If you desist not, O Nuh, you shall most certainly be of those stoned to death. 116 [Whereupon] he prayed: "O my Sustainer! Behold, my people have given me the lie: 117 Therefore judge You between me and them, and save me and those of the believers who are with me." 118 So We delivered him and those with him in the loaded ark, 119 and drowned the others. 120 Lo! herein is indeed a portent, yet most of them are not believers. 121 But, verily, thy Sustainer - He alone - is almighty, a dispenser of grace 122
