The people of Lut belied the sent ones. 160 When their brother Lot said unto them: Will ye not ward off (evil)? 161 I am a trustworthy Messenger. 162 “Therefore fear Allah and obey me.” 163 “And I do not ask from you any fee for it; my reward is only upon the Lord Of The Creation.” 164 “What! Among all the creatures, you commit the immoral acts with men?” 165 "And leave those whom Allah has created for you to be your wives? Nay, you are a trespassing people!" 166 They said: If thou cease not, O Lot, thou wilt soon be of the outcast. 167 He said: "I do detest your doings." 168 “My Lord, rescue me and my family from their deeds.” 169 So We saved him and his household, every one, 170 Save an old woman among the lingerers. 171 Then We destroyed the rest of them, 172 We rained down on them a shower (of brimstone): and evil was the shower on those who were admonished (but heeded not)! 173 Surely in this there is a sign: but most of them would not believe: 174 And lo! thy Lord, He is indeed the Mighty, the Merciful. 175
