We saved the Children of Israel from their humiliating torment 30 From Firon; surely he was haughty, (and) one of the extravagant. 31 And We chose them aforetime above the nations, knowingly, 32 and showed them signs in which there was a clear test. 33 [Now,] behold, these [people] say indeed: 34 "There is not but our first death, and we will not be resurrected. 35 So bring our fathers (back), if you are truthful. 36 What! Are they better than the people of Tubba and those who were before them? We destroyed them because they were guilty of sin. 37 It was not in idle sport that We created the heavens and the earth and all that is between them. 38 We did not create them except with the truth, but most of them do not know. 39 Verily, the Day of Judgement (when Allah will judge between the creatures) is the time appointed for all of them, 40 The day when friend will help no friend in the least, nor will they be helped, 41 Except him on whom Allah has Mercy. Verily, He is the All-Mighty, the Most Merciful. 42
