Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By (the angels) sent forth with the commands of God, 1 And the winds that blow violently 2 And [by] the winds that spread [clouds] 3 And those that distinguish distinctly, 4 and then cast (Allah's) remembrance (in people's hearts), 5 Whether of Justification or of Warning;- 6 surely that which you are promised is about to fall! 7 So when stars are effaced. 8 And when the sky is riven asunder, 9 and the mountains are blown away, 10 And when the time comes for raising the little girls (buried alive) -- 11 to what day shall they be deferred? 12 To the Day of Judgement. 13 Would that you knew what the Day of Decision is! 14 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 15 Did We not destroy the earlier peoples? 16 Then caused the latter folk to follow after? 17 Thus do We deal with men of sin. 18 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 19 Created We you not of water despicable, 20 Which We laid up in a safe abode 21 for an appointed term? 22 So We decreed. How excellent are We as decreers! 23 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 24 Have We not caused the earth to hold within itself 25 Of the living and the dead? 26 Have We not placed high mountains upon it and given you fresh water to drink? 27 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 28 (It will be said to the disbelievers): "Depart you to that which you used to deny! 29 proceed towards the three-pronged shadow, 30 "(Which yields) no shade of coolness, and is of no use against the fierce Blaze. 31 The fire will shoot out sparks as big as huge towers 32 As though they were camels yellow tawny. 33 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 34 This is a day wherein they speak not, 35 nor shall they be permitted to offer excuses. 36 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 37 'This is the Day of Decision; We have joined you with the ancients; 38 So if you have a plan, then plan against Me. 39 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 40
