Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
Have you received the news of the Enveloper? 1 On that day the faces of some people will be humbly cast down, 2 be toiling and worn-out; 3 Entering into burning fire, 4 The while they are given, to drink, of a boiling hot spring, 5 No food will there be for them but a bitter Dhari' 6 Which will neither nourish nor avail against hunger. 7 Faces on that day jocund, 8 well-pleased with their striving. 9 In a high Garden. 10 Where they shall neither hear harmful speech nor falsehood, 11 Wherein is a gushing spring, 12 Therein shall be couches elevated! 13 And goblets ready placed! 14 And cushions lined up 15 and well spread carpets. 16 Look they not at the camels, how they are created? 17 And how the heaven was raised up, 18 And at the Mountains, how they are fixed firm?- 19 And at the earth, how it is spread out? 20 (Muhammad), preach; you are only a preacher. 21 You are not at all a guardian over them. 22 Other than him who turns his back and denies, 23 Then Allah will punish him with the greatest punishment. 24 Certainly, it is to Us that they will return. 25 Ours is surely then to reckon with them. 26
