And assuredly We have set constellations in the heaven and made it fairseeming unto the beholders 16 We have protected them from every condemned devil, 17 Save him who stealeth the hearing, and him there followeth a flame gleaming. 18 And the earth-- We have spread it forth and made in it firm mountains and caused to grow in it of every suitable thing. 19 And We have appointed thereon for you livelihoods and also for those of whom ye are not the providers. 20 For, no single thing exists that does not have its source with Us; and nought do We bestow from on high unless it be in accordance with a measure well-defined. 21 We send rain-impregnated winds, and water from the sky which you drink, but you are not the keepers of its store. 22 It is We who give life and cause things to die and We are the sole Heirs. 23 And indeed, We know the first generations of you who had passed away, and indeed, We know the present generations of you (mankind), and also those who will come afterwards. 24 And verily thy Lord! He will gather them, and verily He is Wise, Knowing. 25
