The Stars (Al-Najm)
62 verses, revealed in Mecca after Absoluteness (Al-Ikhlaas) before He Frowned ('Abasa)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the Star when it goes down,- 1 Your companion [Muhammad] has not strayed, nor has he erred, 2 Nor does he speak of (his own) desire. 3 It [the Quran] is nothing but revelation sent down to him. 4 He was taught by [an angel] who is mighty in power, 5 The Strong; then the Spectacle inclined towards him. 6 standing poised at the highest point on the horizon, 7 Then he drew nigh and came down 8 he was but two bows' length or even nearer, 9 And he revealed to His Servant what he revealed. 10 His heart lies not of what he saw; 11 Will you then argue with him about what he saw? 12 And indeed he did see the Spectacle again. 13 by the lote-tree of the farthest limit, 14 near which is Paradise. 15 when the lote tree was covered in mystic splendour. 16 The eye turned not aside nor yet was overbold. 17 He saw some of the greatest signs of his Lord. 18 Have you then considered Al-Lat, and Al-'Uzza (two idols of the pagan Arabs). 19 and, another, the third manat? 20 What! unto you the males and unto Him the females? 21 That is indeed an unjust division. 22 These are only names which you and your fathers have invented. No authority was sent down by God for them. They only follow conjecture and wish-fulfilment, even though guidance had come to them already from their Lord. 23 Or shall man have what he coveteth? 24 But unto Allah belongeth the after (life), and the former. 25

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
