Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
50 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah) before Q (Qaaf)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By the winds (or angels or the Messengers of Allah) sent forth one after another. 1 storming tempestuously 2 Consider these [messages] that spread [the truth] far and wide, 3 thus separating [right and wrong] with all clarity, 4 and those (angels) dropping, reminding 5 excusing or warning, 6 Surely, what you are promised must come to pass. 7 When the stars are obliterated, 8 When the heaven is cleft asunder; 9 And when the mountains are carried away by wind. 10 And when the Messengers are gathered to their time appointed; 11 To which Day has this task been deferred? 12 For the Day of sorting out (the men of Paradise from the men destined for Hell). 13 And what could make thee conceive what that Day of Distinction will be? 14 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 15 Destroyed We not the ancients? 16 And We shall cause those of later times to follow them. 17 thus do We deal with the culprits. 18 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 19 Did We not create you from an abject fluid? 20 Which We placed in a depository safe. 21 Till an appointed term, 22 And We determined [it], and excellent [are We] to determine. 23 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle. 25 For the living and the dead. 26 and have We not set on it proud, firm mountains, and given you sweet water to drink? 27 I CALL TO WITNESS those who are sent consecutively, 28 Proceed now towards that which you were wont to deny as false; 29 Proceed to a shadow [of smoke] having three columns 30 affording neither shade, nor protection from the flames, 31 Surely it sends up sparks like palaces, 32 So like golden camels." 33 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth 34 That will be a Day when they shall not be able to speak. 35 Nor will it be open to them to put forth pleas. 36 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 37 This is the Day of Decision, We have brought you and the men of old together. 38 So if you have a plot, use it against Me (Allah)! 39 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 40

Notes and Instructions
Click or tap on "random" to go to any random page. Click or tap the triangle to the left of "random" to go to a random page before the current page, or the triangle to the right to go to a random page after the current page. Using these features of ColorfulQuran.com, you can use the right triangle or arrowhead to skim through the entire Holy Book from the first Surah, The Key (Al-Fatihah), to the last, The People (An-Nas), in a few minutes while stopping at random pages in between. This will make your readings cluster more on Juz Amma's short surahs at the end of the Quran. You can also do the same in reverse order using the left triangle or arrowhead, which will cluster your readings more at the beginning of the Holy Quran.
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
