The News (Al-Naba')
40 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Heights (Al-Ma'aarej) before The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ What are they questioning each other about? 1 Of the mighty Announcement, 2 Regarding which they hold different views. 3 By no means! anon they shall know. 4 Nay, again, but they will come to know! 5 Have We not made the earth as a bed, 6 and the mountains as pegs (to anchor the earth)? 7 And We have created you in pairs (male and female, tall and short, good and bad, etc.). 8 And made sleep for you to rest, 9 and the night as a cover, 10 And have made the day for livelihood. 11 And We have built above you seven strong (heavens), 12 And We made a shining lamp, 13 And sent down, from the rain clouds, pouring water 14 to make the seeds, plants, 15 and gardens luxuriant. 16 The Day of Judgment will certainly be the final appointment. 17 the Day that the Horn is blown, and you shall come in crowds 18 and heaven is opened, having gates, 19 The mountains put in motion turning into a mirage. 20 Hell will lie in wait (for its prey). 21 A place of resort for the inordinate, 22 therein they shall abide for ages, 23 Neither coolness shall they taste therein nor any [thirst-quenching] drink 24 only burning despair and ice-cold darkness: 25 as a fitting recompense for their deeds. 26 Behold, they were not expecting to be called to account, 27 having given the lie to Our messages one and all: 28 and everything We have numbered in a Book. 29 [So We shall say], "Taste, then, [the fruit of your evil doings,] for now We shall bestow on you nothing but more and more suffering!" 30

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
