Elucidated (Fussilat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Ha Mim! 1 A Revelation from (Allah), Most Gracious, Most Merciful;- 2 A Book whose verses have been detailed, an Arabic Qur'an for a people who know, 3 one bearing good news and warning. Yet most of them turned away and are not wont to give heed. 4 And they say: our hearts are under veils from that whereunto thou callest us, and in our ears there is heaviness, and betwixt us and thee there is a curtain; work thou then, verily we are workers. 5 Say (O Muhammad SAW): "I am only a human being like you. It is inspired in me that your Ilah (God) is One Ilah (God - Allah), therefore take Straight Path to Him (with true Faith Islamic Monotheism) and obedience to Him, and seek forgiveness of Him. And woe to Al-Mushrikun (the disbelievers in the Oneness of Allah, polytheists, idolaters, etc. - see V. 2:105). 6 Those who practise not regular Charity, and who even deny the Hereafter. 7 (As for) those who believe and do good, they shall surely have a reward never to be cut off. 8
