Nay, by the Moon 32 And the night when it departs, 33 And the dawn when it shineth forth, 34 Verily, it (Hell, or their denial of the Prophet Muhammad SAW, or the Day of Resurrection) is but one of the greatest calamities. 35 A warning unto humankind 36 Unto him of you who will advance or hang back. 37 Every soul will be (held) in pledge for its deeds. 38 Save those who will stand on the right hand. 39 who in their gardens will be enquiring 40 about the sinners. 41 What has brought you into hell? 42 They will reply, "We did not pray, 43 and we did not feed the needy. 44 "But we used to talk vanities with vain talkers; 45 "And we used to deny the Day of Judgment, 46 until certainty came upon us [in death]." 47 And so, of no benefit to them could be the intercession of any that would intercede for them. 48 Then what is the matter with them that they turn away from admonition?- 49 like startled wild donkeys 50 Fleeing from a hunter, or a lion, or a beast of prey. 51 Rather, every person among them desires that he would be given scriptures spread about. 52 No! But they do not fear the Hereafter. 53 Nay, verily, this (Quran) is an admonition, 54 Let anyone who seeks guidance do so. 55 And they will not heed unless Allah willeth (it). He is the fount of fear. He is the fount of Mercy. 56
