The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
When the sun shall be wound round, 1 when the stars are thrown down, 2 and when the mountains are moved, 3 when the pregnant camels shall be neglected, 4 And when the wild beasts shall be gathered together; 5 when the seas shall be set boiling, 6 And when the souls are paired 7 And when the female infant buried alive is asked 8 For what sin she was slain, 9 And when the books are spread, 10 and when Heaven is laid bare; 11 and when the blazing fire [of hell] is kindled bright, 12 And when Paradise is brought near, 13 Then every soul shall know that which it hath presented. 14 Rather, I swear by the returning 15 the planets that run their course and set, 16 And the Night as it dissipates; 17 And by the dawn when it breathes 18 that the Quran is the word of the honorable angelic, mighty Messenger 19 with strength endowed, secure with Him who in almightiness is enthroned 20 The one who is obeyed, and trustworthy. (Other angels obey angel Jibreel). 21 Your companion (Muhammad) does not suffer from any mental illness 22 And he has already seen Gabriel in the clear horizon. 23 Neither doth he withhold grudgingly a knowledge of the Unseen. 24 Nor is it the word of the cursed Shaitan, 25 where then are you going? 26 Verily, this (the Quran) is no less than a Reminder to (all) the 'Alamin (mankind and jinns). 27 So let those who want, choose the right guidance 28 And you do not please except that Allah please, the Lord of the worlds. 29
