And verily it is a revelation of the Lord of the worlds. 192 The Faithful Spirit has descended with it, 193 To (communicate) to your heart that you may be a warner 194 It has been revealed in plain Arabic. 195 Truly it is in the Scriptures of the ancients. 196 Was it not a proof for them that the learned men of Israel knew about this? 197 But [even] had We bestowed it from on high upon any of the non-Arabs, 198 who would have read it to them, they (pagans) would not have believed in it. 199 This is how We have made (the habit of) denying embedded in the hearts of the guilty. 200 They will not believe in it until they clearly see the grievous chastisement. 201 And it will come to them suddenly while they perceive [it] not. 202 Then will they say: "Can we be given respite?" 203 What, do they seek to hasten Our chastisement? 204 Seest thou? If We do let them enjoy (this life) for a few years, 205 then there comes on them that they were promised, 206 of what avail will be the provisions of life which they have been granted to enjoy? 207 Never have We destroyed a town without sending down messengers to warn it, 208 To warn. For We are never unjust. 209 And the satans have not brought it down. 210 Neither would it suit them, nor they can (produce it). 211 Indeed they have been banished from the place of hearing. 212 Therefor invoke not with Allah another god, lest thou be one of the doomed. 213 And warn your nearest relations, 214 And be kind to him who follows you of the believers. 215 If they disobey you, say: 'I am quit of what you do' 216 And put thy trust on the Exalted in Might, the Merciful,- 217 who sees you when you stand 218 And your turning over and over among those who prostrate themselves before Allah. 219 Verily! He, only He, is the All-Hearer, the All-Knower. 220 Shall I inform you (of him) upon whom the Shaitans descend? 221 They descend on every great accuser, extreme sinner. (The magicians) 222 who lends an ear to them, and most of them are liars. 223 Only the erring people follow the poets. 224 Seest thou not that they wander distracted in every valley?- 225 and preaching what they themselves never practice. 226 Save those who believe and do good works, and remember Allah much, and vindicate themselves after they have been wronged. Those who do wrong will come to know by what a (great) reverse they will be overturned! 227
