And indeed, We delivered the children of Israel from the shameful suffering 30 and from the Pharaoh. He was the chief of the transgressors. 31 And We chose them aforetime above the nations, knowingly, 32 And granted them Signs in which there was a manifest trial 33 Indeed, these [disbelievers] are saying, 34 “There is nothing except our dying just once, and we will not be raised.” 35 Bring then our fathers if ye say so. 36 What! Are they better than the people of Tubba and those who were before them? We destroyed them because they were guilty of sin. 37 We created not the heavens and earth, and all that between them is, in play; 38 We did not create them except in Truth. But most of them do not know. 39 Surely the Day of Decision shall be their appointed time, all together, 40 The Day when Maulan (a near relative) cannot avail Maulan (a near relative) in aught, and no help can they receive, 41 except for those to whom God grants mercy. He is Majestic and All-merciful. 42
