▼ 56 The Inevitable
Al-Waaqe'ah 3 of 3
۞ So I swear by the setting places of the stars. 75 and, behold, this is indeed a most solemn affirmation, if you but knew it! 76 Behold, it is a truly noble discourse, 77 In a Book Hidden. 78 none but the purified shall touch, 79 It is a revelation sent down from the Lord of the worlds. 80 Would you say that this statement is a lie? 81 Do you make its denial your means of livelihood? 82 Why, then, when the soul of the dying man reaches the throat, 83 And you are at that time looking on - 84 We are nearer to him than you, but you do not see 85 if you are not subject to anyone's authority, 86 Bring it back, if you should be truthful? 87 Then if the dying one is of those having proximity, – 88 For him shall be comfort, and fragrance and a Garden of Delight. 89 And if he was of the companions of the right, 90 (For him is the salutation), "Peace be unto thee", from the Companions of the Right Hand. 91 But if he be of them that cried lies, and went astray, 92 The welcome will be boiling water 93 and the heat of a blazing fire! 94 This is indeed the indubitable truth. 95 Therefor (O Muhammad) praise the name of thy Lord, the Tremendous. 96
