The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
46 verses, revealed in Mecca after The News (Al-Naba') before Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
CONSIDER those [stars] that rise only to set, 1 by the drawers (the angels of death), gently drawing (the souls of the believers), 2 and by those that speedily glide along (the cosmos), 3 Then press forward as in a race, 4 and by those who regulate events. 5 The day on which the quaking one shall quake, 6 And the following event will come after it. 7 Hearts on that day shall palpitate, 8 Their eyes humbled. 9 [And yet,] some say: "What! Are we indeed to be restored to our former state 10 What! when we are rotten bones? 11 They say, "That, then, would be a losing return." 12 It will be only one scaring shout, 13 and behold, they are awakened. 14 Did the news of Moosa reach you? 15 Recall what time his Lord called unto him in the holy vale of Tuwa. 16 Saying: go thou unto Fir'awn; verily he hath waxen exorbitant. 17 And say to him, "Would you like to reform yourself? 18 And I will guide you to your Lord so that you should fear. 19 Then did (Moses) show him the Great Sign. 20 Yet he belied and disobeyed. 21 Then he went back hastily. 22 Then he gathered (men) and called out. 23 Saying: "I am alone your lord, the highest of them all." 24 Wherefore Allah laid hold of him with the punishment of the Hereafter and of the present. 25 Lo! herein is indeed a lesson for him who feareth. 26

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
